Qualified professionals for quality language stays.

THE TEAM

The FIL team in 2024: a dozen young adults posing together in full sun, in front of trees and the mountain

All programmes are supervised by FIL team members who all have long experience in youth activities and in teaching French to foreigners. They were selected rigorously. They are present all day, lead the French workshops, take part in the activities and organise the evenings. The team leaders look after the well-being of their group every day.

A close-knit, professional team

Bénédicte: the director

Founded FIL with her friend Sophie in 2012, taking over the Créa-Langues jeunes centre, a language holiday centre for young people that existed for 25 years. Bénédicte worked as a team leader for many years, then as a supervisor in middle and high schools, while studying French as a Foreign Language. She has taught in France, in Hungary and then at an Indian university. For two years, Bénédicte was the teaching coordinator of an Alliance Française in India. Today she runs FIL as well as the Le Noell holiday centre in Saint Laurent de Cerdans.

Amelia: administrative, teaching and sales assistant

Passionate about youth activities and teaching, she naturally went on to study languages, with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and a Master’s in French as a Foreign Language. Her wish to share and to discover other ways of working led her to be a French assistant in language schools in Spain and a team leader at holiday camps in France. Convinced that you can take charge of your own learning while having fun, she could only be won over by the FIL concept, and today she is in charge of designing the French workshops, teaching coordination and the administrative management of FIL stays.

Our regional cook prepares good dishes with the flavours of the south. He always has a smile and knows Le Noell like the back of his hand.

The team leaders

Team leaders dressed up as adventure characters, with masks, sticks and hats, posing in front of a group during a themed evening

Over the years, dozens of language team leaders have followed one another, all qualified in youth activities and/or in teaching French as a foreign language. They have lost count of their hours spent with FIL’s young people. The energy of the team leaders makes for great holidays for all our participants!

Many people also work behind the scenes so that stays at Le Noell go as smoothly as possible: housekeeping, kitchen and washing-up staff, repairs, and upkeep of the grounds and the swimming pool… led by Cédric, who is employed all year round by FIL and manages the Le Noell accommodation.

SUPERVISION OF ACTIVITIES

The safety and well-being of participants come first.

Sports activities are supervised by qualified professionals. Transport is provided by coach companies. Short trips are made by minibus, with experienced drivers. The programmes, supervision, activities, transport and accommodation comply with the regulations and are inspected by the relevant ministries.

FIL is an association that must declare all its stays on a dedicated website. The legal supervision ratio is a maximum of 1 adult for 12 children; in the water it is 1 adult for 8 (up to and including age 17). The criminal record of every staff member is checked by the SDJES (the departmental youth, engagement and sports service).
