GOOD TO KNOW
- The number of participants per programme is limited.
- FIL reserves the right to cancel a stay or to refuse a registration. In this case, FIL will refund the money already received.
- If, for reasons beyond our control, an activity cannot take place, FIL reserves the right to cancel or replace it.
- FIL accepts no liability for the loss or forgetting of items, even valuable ones (smartphones, speakers, jewellery, money…).
- It is also forbidden to bring laptops, tablets, etc. to the centre. If a participant has one and wants to use it during their journey to the centre, they are strongly encouraged to leave it at the management office for the whole duration of the stay.
- FIL may have to regulate the use of participants’ mobile phones during their stay, for the well-being of the participant and of the group.
- You must provide all the items listed in the “List of documents to send” document, so as to give FIL all the information needed to follow each participant individually, at least 30 days before the stay.
- Health: we ask for a doctor’s prescription for any medication. Under no circumstances may a participant take medication on their own or give it to one of their fellow participants!
- Participants are responsible for finding out about, and complying with, the safety, visa and hygiene rules that apply to enter France. FIL cannot in any circumstances be held responsible if a participant is refused entry to and stay in French territory. Information about safety, hygiene and visa rules can be obtained from the French embassy or consulate in the participant’s country. No refund, in whole or in part, will be made if the participant is refused entry to or stay in France through their own fault. FIL will provide, on request, an invitation letter for your visa application, once the full cost of the language stay has been received.
PARTICIPANT’S COMMITMENTS

The participant undertakes to follow a few very important rules:
- speak French;
- contribute to a good atmosphere in the group;
- follow instructions and respect the equipment;
- use connected devices sensibly and watch only content suitable for their age;
- respect the integrity and privacy of others and always adhere to the principle of consent;
- not smoke or vape without parental permission;
- not possess, consume, sell or buy alcohol or drugs.
If any of these rules is not respected, FIL has the right to send the young person home at the expense of the parents or guardian.

- Cancellation more than 60 days before the start of the stay: €60 administration fee
- Cancellation between 59 and 30 days before the start of the stay: the deposit.
- Cancellation from 29 days before the start of the stay: the full amount
Any stay interrupted or changed on your part during your stay at FIL will not give rise to any refund. The return transport is the family’s responsibility.
A cancellation must be made in writing (email, fax or letter).
You can always propose a replacement to take your place. In that case, no fees are retained.
FIL will not refund any activities missed by the participant (for medical or other reasons) during the stay.
Visa
If you are a citizen of the European Union, you do not need a visa
If you are not a citizen of the European Union:
- for a stay of up to 3 months, and unless there is a special agreement, you must apply for a tourist visa at the French Consulate in your country.
Complaints
Any complaint that has not been notified to our staff during your stay cannot be taken into account after your departure.
Public holidays
Our summer stays do not take French national public holidays and Sundays into account.
Insurance
For its participants, management and team, FIL has public liability insurance (damage to third parties) which can cover some costs following an accident, but which in no case replaces the cover of travel/health insurance taken out by the participant’s family. This insurance also does not cover the risk of theft or loss of luggage. FIL strongly advises taking out personal travel assistance insurance for each participant, covering medical costs in case of illness and/or accident, compensation in case of cancellation, and early return.
FIL will not refund any activities missed by the participant (for medical or other reasons) during the stay.
“I have carefully read the general terms and conditions and the payment and cancellation conditions. I have explained the general terms and conditions to the participant.
I confirm the registration and I agree with all the conditions mentioned.”
